The words similarity is based on how much context they share, not if they are synonyms. If you know that its more fun. Other reviews need to chill.
We’ve been playing this game for a while (before daily challenges and 1v1 existed). Not gonna lie it was fun, youd get 1 joker per day and 3 anchors which kept you going, especially if you were playing for hours at a time. Then we updated the app to find daily challenges and 1v1 were added, it made a cool addition to the game. We updated again within the last week and its complete trash. The last regular level we got had the hint your phones got one. Tried everything we could think of before we finally got wire as the answer. Pretty sure most phones nowadays have more than one. But besides that, since we solved that level we cant start a new level, theres no daily challenge, and nobody to match on 1v1. Went from being our favorite game to the worst one on the App Store.
Is this some sort of AI logic? It certainly isnt logical to a human, English language-speaking person. Ugh!
What ever the word is today it is explicit.
Its an addicting game (I do really like it) but we agree with other reviews. The algorithm throws us off. The hints are really vague; Is there really a definitive answer? Are they figures of speech? There must be some sort of strategy to figure these out besides thinking of the meaning of a word. Also, almost always the jokers are never a good help at all. We find myself typing the same words we see pop up as hotter every time we play a level or the daily puzzles (oasis, gazebo, garden, etc.) which always confuses us as to how because theyre never associated with the actual answer. If you thought the magician level was mind boggling, just you wait.
Its a fun game sure but theres so many words and SUPER vague hints so its very hard to make a good guess. Its got a joker button that gives you a guess thats closer than your previous guess but we’ve used them all. Theres an option to watch an ad for more but no matter how many times we push the button, restart the app, even restarting our phone the button just does nothing at all. It shows that we clicked the button by a slight buzz but nothing happens after pushing it, and when pushing it inside the level its just sends us back to the guessing page. We were completely stuck on level 5 its a job with the closest being musician and dancer both at 99% took us over 130 guesses to get it right and we only got it after seeing the hint the developers left under a review. How on earth are those the closest words to magician ?!?
We love the idea of this game we think its super fun. But on level 5, we spent ENTIRELY way too long on that. It told us musician was close so we tried every single job we could think of in the music industry. & then dancer was close. Tried so many different dance types (jazz, ballet, etc.), just to find out it was magician. Another issue we have is that our joker button doesnt even work? We click it to watch an ad for an extra joker but it doesnt do anything. & im not getting any coins either so im stuck. This concept is super fun & challenging but definitely needs some work.
We love this game but our one huge major criticism is that you need to change the code so that it accepts different tenses! Youre telling us that rise risen and raise are not acceptable when the answer is rose? And plurals too, eyes is wrong but eye is right. Its frustrating because we think Im close so we try a million different words not different tenses of the same words. We still like the app but you gotta change that bro.
The idea for this game is very fun, but the algorithm just isnt there yet. It takes away from the enjoyment and makes it more frustrating when the levels take random luck and brute force more than cleverness. For example, sometimes the answer is something like rose, but it told you that flower wasnt at all close. We would love to play this game if the algorithm is improved, but right now- as much as we love the concept- it feels like a waste of time.
It rlly hard bc Im on level five and the clue is its a job and we put so many jobs we its not even it the closest word is dancer. Our user is emmaa with this emoji pls message us the answer we cant do this round.
The words you guess will usually not be close to each other at all. Somehow, a toad is 95/100 close to a jellyfish, and a bird is 80+. Or, how a businessman is closer to a surgeon than a doctor or dentist. Its a cool concept for a game, but needs lots of improvement.
We find myself stuck on levels that we dont know how to further improve. On level 9, microphone is 99.42. We’ve tried mic, mike, mics, microphones, video, headset, and any other tech like phones or tvs. What else can we even type? Microphone has 0 other synonyms that we havent put down.
This game is IMPOSSIBLE half the time. Nothing makes sense bc when we put in castle it said 90 but the answer was ISLAND. THOSE DONT GO TOGETHER.
We love the fact that the words dont relate sometimes. And that definitely makes the game so much better.
